I’m currently at the Venice airport, heading home to Canada. My laptop battery is at 15% and my electricity converter is broken… so I’m typing as fast as I can!
The experience at the European Cultural Academy’s ‘Contemporary Art Course’ was, once again, nothing short of MAGICAL. Thirty-one artists and one curator from around the world just spent the past two weeks exploring, not only Venice and the Biennale, but also their own goals/dreams. I’m invited to this program to teach (inner critic / creative block stuff), but I always come away learning more about myself as an artist than I ever could have predicted. I am excited for everyone who attended, and I’m counting down the seconds until I’m back in my studio… SO MANY IDEAS!
I can’t wait to share what I’m up to on my own, personal art journey. I’m excited, but more importantly, I’M TRULY CONFIDENT, AND REALLY READY. And so, if I could wave a magic wand on this fine Saturday, I would make every single one of you feel the same way. I want all of you to realize how important your creativity and artwork is to the world. Pour a strong coffee, roll your shoulders back, and GO GET WHAT YOU WANT. Okay, my laptop is at 11%, and my flight is boarding. See you on the other side ~ Danielle
I can't wait to hear about your experience with ECA and the Biennale this year!
Looking forward to hearing about your personal journey.
