I have loved the work of LA based painter Alec Egan for years, and was thrilled to see some of his work in Miami last month. Sadly, Alec and his sweet young family were one of many people who just lost everything in the LA fires. Their home is gone, as is his recent body of work. At the time of the fire, Alec was in the final days of completing works for his upcoming solo show, โ๐๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐ง๐ฆ๐ข๐ด๐ต, ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐ด๐ฆ๐ข, ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ณ, ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐ด๐ฌ๐บ, ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐ฎ๐ข๐ณ๐ฌ, ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฏ๐ต๐ข๐ช๐ฏ๐ด, ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐ธ๐ข๐ต๐ค๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ณโ, set to open at the end of January at Anat Ebgi Gallery. And so, the first image above is being sold as a $100 print through the gallery with 100% of proceeds going to Alec. {Edition of 1000 produced on the occasion of the artist's exhibition Look Out, 2022 / CMYK on gloss paper / 33 x 24 inches}. You can follow Alec on Instagram at @alec.egan.
Have a nice weekend, and if youโre in LA, please know Iโm sending love from Canada ~ Danielle
So tragic
The lamp shade texture! ๐ All the works are stunning. What a tragic loss, such of heartbreak.
