art delivery : 01.25.25

Gasp, right!?! I spent yesterday afternoon walking around and around and around this absolutely gorgeous exhibition. This is a tiny peek at “Sea of Vapors” by Emily Rae Counts, on right now at Oregon Contemporary in Portland. I have loved Emily’s ceramic sculptures for YEARS, but this show is next level. Not only are the ceramic pieces sooooo beautiful (and BIG), she’s also incorporated wood and fabric and light and video, oh my word… I was absolutely in love with every tiny bit of every single piece. It’s on until February 9th, so GO IF YOU CAN! (I’m going to put a few videos of this work up on Instagram later today, because stills don’t do it justice!)

ps. The show I just curated, “Witches of the West”, opened last night at Chefas Projects, and it was a HUGE success! Thank you to everyone who came… the artists and I were absolutely THRILLED! More on that soon… I need coffee now.
