Cloud paintings yesterday, and colorful plumes from ceramic “baby volcanoes” today! This is the work of Paris born sculptor Clémentine Bal:
A graduate of the Beaux-Arts de Paris, Clémentine Bal assumes both her taste for popular art and the influence of characters from her childhood. She explores the essential links that unite our inner world to nature: the characters she creates touch us with their sometimes disconcerting naivety, like an antidote to the noise and fury of the world … Her characters are strangely familiar: imaginary animals, baby volcanoes in multicolored eruption, mountain tribes who keep warm, little hybrid ghosts... Imbued with gentleness, they pass no judgment and invite us to welcome and compassion.
C'est beau! You can find Clémentine on Instagram at @clementine.bal.
Oh my word. This dreamy studio is where Jessica Pisano, a painter based in Martha’s Vineyard, paints her “dreamscape” paintings… well you’d have to paint dreamscapes if your studio was drenched with natural light and located directly underneath a rainbow?! If you wanna look around a little more, watch this video on Jessica’s Instagram feed.
Happy Tuesday ~ Danielle
I love the ceramics
