Literally artsy fartsy… sorry, couldn’t resist! Today’s member spotlight is shining on Jayme Ditto, aka @HowdyJayme, a Texas based artist, illustrator and mom of two young daughters:
“I’m inspired by nature’s wonders, color and preserving the magic of youthful curiosity… These days half of my time is filled backyard shenanigans including swinging, kicking the ball, playing chase and rolling around in the grass. And the other is spent drawing or painting any chance I get. My favorite tools are gouache and color pencil, but in busy seasons I find myself creating digitally.
And, it sounds like she has lots of ‘busy seasons’… Jayme’s work has been published in Martha Stewart Weddings, The Knot Texas, Field Guide Weddings, and Spark Magazine just to name a few. Personally, I think somebody needs to hire Jayme to illustrate a boot magazine! Yeehaw!
I AM SOOOO EXCITED! Yep, in two weeks I’ll be kicking off the tour for my brand new kids’ book, “ART and JOY - Best Friends Forever”! I had to cancel every event for my first kids’ book {“How To Spot An Artist”} because it came out in, you guessed it, 2020… BUT, I’m making up for lost time with this one! If you’re in any of these cities, please, please, please come… even if you don’t have a kid! Seriously. Technically this book is for kids age 4-8, but I think it’s kinda perfect for artsy kids of ALL AGES, and that’s you! See you out there! (I just proof-read and realized I ended every sentence with an exclamation mark… yep, works for me!)
Have a lovely weekend ~ Danielle
So excited for your book tour! Yeah you!
That makes sense… dollars and cents….
