So, when Malcom Gladwell’s podcast network reaches out to you and says, “Hey, would you like to share part of an interview we did with Marina Abramović on ART FOR YOUR EAR”, you say, OKAY! I’ve put together a little mini episode, featuring a 20 minute excerpt from their show, “Talk Easy with Sam Fragoso”. Every Sunday, Sam invites an artist, activist, or politician to come to the table and speak from the heart… and today that person is Marina! Look’n listen right here.

Ahhh, American artist Jenny Brown. I have loved her mixed media, botanical creations for years. I’ve actually only ever seen Jenny’s work online, but if you happen to be in Washington DC, you can see some of these beauties in person at the Superfine Art Fair from April 7th-April 10th. Jenny’s work will be represented there by @pxpcontemporary, so keep an eye out for them at booth no.26!
Yep, it’s happening! I had my first one-on-one member chat last week! From the hundreds of you (!?) who signed up, I drew one name… an American in Paris, mixed media artist Michele Landel. We hopped on Zoom and talked about all sorts of things, but the main conversation was her upcoming show at Le Salon Vert. It opens later this month, so if you’re in Geneva, go!
ps. I’ll be picking another name soon, BUT I’m also thinking - since so many of you signed up, and lots of the topics are similar - I might start a bunch of groups where we can talk about those topics. And the bonus in that is, after the chat, you’re now connected with 5-10 other artists around the world with the same concerns! If you like the sound of that, let me know in the comments.
Have a wonderful weekend ~ Danielle
Yes to group chats! When I first signed up I felt so nervous because I’m a big fan, what if I actually get picked!? My husband said, “Don’t think about it, just do it,” so I did, but the idea of chatting in a group sounds slightly less intimidating. Meeting other artists would also be a bonus!
I love the idea of a group chat. Starving for good artist conversations!
