Two weeks in Venice this summer (with a group of like-minded artists, art-lovers, gallerists and curators) getting a closeup look at the Venice Biennale, tours of private galleries, talks with curators and artists… not to mention all of the pasta, coffee and gelato!? YES! I’m so thrilled to be going back to Venice as a lecturer for the European Cultural Academy’s Contemporary Art Course happening from August 8th through 19th. This will be my 4th time being part of this program, and each experience has been a game-changer for my art practice.
Alexandra Laqueur, one of the founders of the European Cultural Academy, and I will be going LIVE on Instagram TODAY at @thejealouscurator : 11am PST, 2pm EST… and 8pm if you’re in Europe. We’ll answer all of your questions, and we’ll also be chatting a bunch of artsy issues (all of which we’ll be deep diving into while in Venice) … things like how to take your work to the next level; proposing and executing a large art exhibition; finding/making time to be creative in your life; dealing with imposter syndrome, and more! Hope to see you there!
In the spotlight today: “Under Garden”, the latest and LAST biodiversity collage installation for Clare Celeste. Here’s why:
“I am pleased to announce I will be joining Plan A as their Senior Social Media and Campaigns Manager. Plan A's objective is to reach 1 Gigatonne of carbon under management, effectively moving the needle on global emissions. As of May 1st, I will be closing my creative studio to focus full-time on climate solutions. As a closing farewell to my studio, I am happy to share one last immersive installation, the Under Garden.”
I am so, so proud of Clare for her dedication to our planet… but she promises me she’ll still pick up her scissors from time to time ; ) Good luck, Clare! xo
Have a lovely weekend ~ Danielle
Wonderful that you can go to Venice again!
Oh my gosh! Claire is quite an example for all of us ❤️
