Today’s spotlight is shining on the loose ‘n lovely work of Minneapolis based artist Robin Archer:
“I grew up in a small town on the midwestern prairie and I am still drawn to wide-open landscapes, old houses, country roads, and wandering along a creek in the woods. I document what inspires me with watercolor and the camera lens, always searching for the crossroads of place and memory … Most days I’m a stationary rambler, transporting myself elsewhere through images, paint, and a pen, but I also get restless. That’s when I know it’s time to explore new places. I love to travel, but not as much as I love coming back home.”
Sigh… just as lovely as her work! You can find prints of Robin’s work right here, and she’s on Instagram at @robin.johanna.archer.
This is for the FREE subscribers! I’d love to hear your totally honest answers to these questions… ready?
What’s stopping you from subscribing to the DAILY ART DELIVERY? Is it:
A. The cost? ( $36 per year / $5 per month)
B. Getting an email every day? Does that feel overwhelming? If there was just one email — with all of the week’s content — delivered to you each Saturday, would that be more appealing?
C. Not enough BIG ART? ; )
Thank you so much for letting me know! This newsletter is not only pure joy for me to put together, it’s also my main source of income so — to be totally heart on sleeve — I’m just trying to figure out what might work best for as many of you art-lovers as possible! Anywho, let me know what you think by leaving a comment (just click the little bubble icon at the top and bottom of this email), or email me at intheclub@thejealouscurator.com.
Thanks, have a fabulous weekend ~ Danielle
I like the daily emails Danielle. I don’t know how you do it, seems like a lot of work, but I’m grateful for you what you do!.
Robin Archer's landscapes are pleasant, cleverly painted, nostalgic and occasionally sentimental. They do not remind me of Picasso, or Gilot (book on table), but late Cezanne, e.g. Montagne Sainte-Victoire in Philadelphia.
