Mood, indeed. I could certainly use a little light-hearted, weird & wacky cat art… you too? Perfect, because today’s spotlight is shining on the hilarious and joy-filled work of Katharine Brainard. When she’s not making art about cats, she’s fostering actual tiny kittens… and, I guess, also being a mom/grandma? According to her Instagram handle and bio, Katharine’s made the order of her priorities pretty clear:

First, I love that so many of you drink coffee with my emails! So, during the week I asked my regular readers if daily emails were in fact - gasp - ‘too much art’?! Did they want less, or were they happy as is? Personally, I could write about art every day forever… and thankfully, that’s what 98% of you said you wanted! These are just a few of the lovely messages I had to share. Thanks to the hundreds and hundreds of you who emailed with me with your thoughts!
