Today’s ‘subscriber spotlight’ is shining on these lovely abstract landscapes by Seattle based artist Melanie Biehle:
“… I create abstract paintings that are atmospheric expressions of place. The spirit of discovery, leisure, space, and time connects us, even when we are inspired by different locales … Travel, ways of seeing or being in the world, and memories that I treasure show up repeatedly in my work through color or shape or tempo. But how you personally experience a painting is more important. How the art makes you feel. What personal experiences the energy or colors or title brings to mind when you observe the painting and make it part of your home…”
You can find Melanie’s work — both soft and hard-edged landscapes — on her site, and she’s on Instagram at @melanie.biehle.art.
ps. I’ll be sending out a second email later today, because I have a research question for you, and I would love your thoughts. Stay tuned, it will be in your inbox shortly. Thank you so much, in advance! Have a great weekend ~ Danielle
Ooooh, love seeing Melanie’s beautiful work here!
I am so excited that Melanie is featured here. I had the pleasure of meeting her when she delivered one of her paintings to me a couple of years ago. She’s not only a great painter…I’m loving her latest work…but an equally wonderful person.
