These breathtaking lace murals (!?) are the work of Polish artist NeSpoon. And in case you’re wondering…
“Why lace? No idea. I’ve never liked lace. Before I started working with them, I thought lace was something old-fashioned, from a grandmother’s dusty apartment. Today it seems to me that each lace harbours harmony, balance and a sense of natural order. Isn’t that just what we are all searching for instinctively?”
YES! Also, I’d like to point out that all of the work shown here is from 2022… and this isn’t even close to all of the projects she’s completed in just this year alone!? Check out NeSpoon’s site to see all of her murals (each inspired by the traditional lace and patterns of that area), and follow her adventures on Instagram at @nes.nespoon. ps. She does lacy ceramics, too!
Do you wanna GO BIG but you don’t have the space to work on large-scale pieces? Or, maybe you’re being stopped by the insane cost of shipping huge boxes? Diptychs, triptychs, gazillion-tychs are the answer! Working on multiple canvases / panels, that you then assemble on the wall into one large composition allows you to go BIG without worrying about the issues above. Clearly it works for Andy and Banksy!
