In the spotlight on this fine Saturday morning… cereal-covered donuts! But wait, DON’T EAT THEM! These beauties are the CERAMIC work of Seattle based, Canadian artist Catherine McMillan. I’ve written Catherine’s work so many times, because how can I not!? Lucky Charms, Fruit Loops and some kind of S’more situation… delicious! Follow Catherine at @catlovescake.
Yep, more delicious - although slightly more creepy - ceramic sculpture! Jacqueline Tse’s latest solo show, titled “My Candy Nightmares”, opens TODAY at Talon Gallery in Portland. She’s my guest on the podcast next weekend, but how could I not post about a porcelain candy nightmare on Halloween eve? Exactly. If you’re in Portland the opening is from 12pm until 4pm (please wear a mask), and if you’re not in Portland you can look/buy the work online! Find Jacqueline on Instagram at @mad_brooklyn.
Have a safe and happy weekend ~ Danielle
