Today is Dia De Los Meurtos {Day of the Dead}. Um, can you image being at Frida Kahlo’s blue house in Mexico for this… hello bucket list!!!
“There is nothing at all. Everything changes, everything moves, everything revolves, everything flies and goes.” ~ Frida Kahlo
These words of Frida inspire our altar, which today we dedicate to her great heritage: her painting. The title alludes to one of his most famous paintings. This offering integrates elements of tradition, but in Frida style.
You can now visit our Day of the Dead offering until November 28. Get your tickets in advance from boletosfridakahlo.org.
Gah! If you can go, GO!
Happy weekend ~ Danielle
Was there 35 years ago on a school travel trip but would love, love, love to go back❤️
I was in Mexico City two years ago for Día de Muertos, and it was FANTASTIC. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I didn't have the opportunity to go to Frida's house (didn't plan well-enough in advance), but Frida was ALL OVER CDMX. The city was a huge celebration. I did make it down to the area of the city where she was born, Coyoacán. It was magical.
