It’s New Year’s Eve! … which obviously means I had to share the fabulous (very much on point for the past couple of years) melted disco ball sculptures of Rotterdam based art + design collective, ROTGANZEN. If you’ve got a low-key New Year’s Eve planned, here’s an art flick complete with fireworks! New York based, Chinese artist Cai Guo-Qiang works with a very exciting, and very dangerous, medium… gunpowder. Yep. And, lucky for us, there just happens to be a 2016 documentary, titled “Sky Ladder: The Art of Cai Guo-Qiang”, on Netflix about the creation of one his most famous works. I’m going to pop some corn, and maybe some champagne if I’m feeling crazy, and settle in for the evening. Have a safe and happy New Year’s Eve!
