Porcelain-dipped bits of nature? Yep! Today’s spotlight is shining on Denver based artist Tina Suszynski :
“I use plants, clay and extreme heat to portray destruction in search of beauty as well as the beauty of destruction. I am looking for the calm I once knew, turning to nature to assuage my concern for the environment and each other.”
So beautiful. You can find Tina on Instagram at @tinasstudio.
ps. Tina happened to be one of the artists-in-residence with me this week in Santa Fe…. oh, hello perfect segue…
I’ve just spent this entire past week at the Jen Tough Gallery (Santa Fe NM), as part of their AiR Studio program. It was magic. 12 artists, from all over the USA, filled the artist studios. I did several one-on-one sessions with all of them, we had group discussions at the end of each day, and every single one of them pushed their work (and themselves!) to new and amazing places. If you’re near Santa Fe, pop in this weekend - Sat & Sun from 10am-6pm to see and BUY their work! I highly recommend checking out Jen’s AiR studios. She has created such a beautiful environment, and is so passionate about supporting artists. Speaking of which, weeks in June & July are currently 50% off… wait, that can’t be right? But it is!
Have an amazing weekend ~ Danielle
Glorious!
so inspiring!
