I have admired Canadian sculptor Susannah Montague for years, and for so many reasons. Number one: Ummm, look at the exquisite detail she puts into every jaw-dropping porcelain piece!? Those blindfolded swans? Killing me. Reason number two: Because all of Susannah’s work comes from a very personal place, beginning with the difficulties she faced bringing her twins into the world. So beautifully executed, and from such a vulnerable place. That’s where the magic happens. And, to round out my little admiration list,
I love Susannah’s work! I first saw her work at a solo show in Deep Cove years ago. Her work is so detailed and delicate. It boggles my mind how she makes porcelain into these ethereal pieces. 😍
LOVED the first episode of On the Case! It really struck some chords ♥️
Loved the YouTube episode! Fun to actually see the art you’re talking about, as well as you and Ashley interacting!
