I absolutely love this!!!! I am so incredibly inspired by this work! I assemble my work in a similar way but I am in the baby stages of my artistic practice. This gives me that "I wish I had made that" feeling.
My subject matter & intent is different. Maybe this is a "Dear Arty" question... but... I'm curious if anyone here wants to talk about being inspired by different artists techniques, taking inspiration from different sources. Do you have questions you ask yourself to make sure that your work isn't too close to the inspiration? I think it's probably about being inspired by many different things and also putting your own "why" into it. Any thoughts?
Brain cannot compute…🤯😍
Michael Mapes work is very cool!
AGREED! (a chicken bone!?!?)

This work is possibly the coolest I’ve seen in awhile. Stunning!
Absolutely bonkers and beautiful!
Brilliant. My mind is dazzled
Very well - done. I enjoy seeing found objects being used so liberally. I tried this once & wasn't very good at it at all.
A chicken bone, indeed..... if it works or fits, WHY NOT ?
